Linda Slavin   President
Linda has had the privilege of working with exciting community groups for over thirty years. She is a past Coordinator of the Kawartha World Issues Centre, a past president of the Peterborough Social Planning Council; past Co-chair of the Peterborough Coalition for Social Justice, the ‘Walk, Wheel, Ride for Dignity” campaign and the Ontario Coalition for Social Justice; and past Chair of the Ontario Council for International Cooperation. Linda managed a 7-year community development & research project for Trent University in Mexico and Ecuador. Currently, she is General Manager of the Community Opportunity & Innovation Network (COIN) that uses community economic development for employment training and placement for people with barriers.
Jenny Nelson   Secretary
Jenny joined the Board of the Peterborough Elizabeth Fry Society in May of 2008 because she wanted to help women in the area. “Our organization has demonstrated through our dedicated staff & Board that intervention in an individual’s life can help create a supportive environment for women to succeed” Jenny is the current secretary and enjoys working on the Human Resources and Fundraising committees.
Georgia Gale-Kidd   Member
Georgia was keen to become a member of the Elizabeth Fry Society Board, as she is very interested in supporting and empowering women so that they are able to become self-sustaining and productive members of society. “I see the Elizabeth Fry Society as a positive agent in the lives of women”.
Neil Collins  Member
Born and raised in Peterborough, Neil attended Sir Sanford Fleming College for the Police Education Program. Having served as a police officer since 1990, Neil currently holds the rank of Sergeant in uniform patrol. He has been a past volunteer with the Kawartha Child Care Services, and also served for seven years on the Board of Directors for the Peterborough Big Brother and Big Sister Agency, including four years as Board President.
Liz Perkins  Member
Born in Guelph Ontario, Liz attended the University of Toronto and graduated in 1964 as a Physical and Occupational Therapist. Liz has pursued her career as a physiotherapist throughout Ontario, culminating in serving as Director of Physiotherapy at the Alexander and Marine Hospital in Goderich, Ontario. Liz has served as a member of the Amnesty International Group of Kincardine, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Grey Bruce Woman’s Shelter, and the Amnesty Group 46 of Peterborough.
